Do I need to be certified to join a Fun Dive?

Yes, Fun Dives are for certified divers only. If you are not certified, you can join a Try Dive (Discover Scuba Diving) or enroll in our Open Water Course.

Boats depart Labuan Bajo at 7:15 AM and return around 4–5 PM after completing 3 dives, with breakfast and lunch served onboard.

What is a Fun Dive?

A fun dive is the best way to relax and explore the ocean without the structure of a training course. It’s perfect for certified divers who simply want to dive, explore, and enjoy. There are no exams, no classroom work — just pure diving in some of the richest waters on the planet.
In Komodo, a fun dive can mean drifting past giant manta rays, gliding alongside green sea turtles, or hovering above pristine coral gardens bursting with fish life. Each dive is guided by our experienced SSI dive professionals, ensuring your safety and helping you spot unique marine life.

Komodo Fun Dive Itinerary

Our Komodo Fun Dive trips depart daily from Labuan Bajo. Here’s what a typical day looks like:

07:15 AM – Departure from Labuan Bajo harbor.
Breakfast served onboard on the way to Komodo National Park
Morning Dive #1: Often at sites like Siaba Besar (Turtle City) or Sebayur Kecil, where conditions are calm and perfect for warming up.
Dive #2: Adventure dives at famous sites such as Manta Point, Batu Bolong, or Castle Rock, depending on weather and currents.
Lunch freshly cooked by our onboard chef.
Dive #3: dive at sites such as like Tatawa Besar, Castle Rock, or Pengah Kecil, depending on location, currents, and tides.
Return: We arrive back in Labuan Bajo around 4–5 PM, leaving plenty of time to enjoy dinner in town.

Note: Dive sites vary daily depending on conditions, diver experience, and park regulations. Your safety and enjoyment always come first.

Dive Sites for Fun Diving in Komodo

Manta Point (Makassar Reef): Drift with majestic manta rays at one of Komodo’s most famous sites.
Siaba Besar (Turtle City): Calm reef dive with a high chance of seeing multiple green sea turtles.
