"Joined a 3D2N liveaboard in Komodo NP by Maika. For me it was a perfect mix of lots of fantastic diving with a touch of beach time and trekking (and bonus komodo dragon sightings!)
The shared cabin and toilet were small and basic, but they were kept clean and comfortable. We spent most of our time on the deck lounging on beanbags or in the water anyway. The boat crew took great care of us throughout and chef whipped up delicious local dishes for our ever-hungry group every day.
I had 3 instructors over 8 dives, all were top notch and made sure we were safe as houses and happy as clams. Thank you to Jamal and Paul, and special thanks to Rosie - a complete delight and terima kasih for sharing your joyful energy with us <3

"Had the most amazing 3 days with the best crew :) I was a little nervous about some of the dives as I don’t have a lot of experience with currents and drift dives - but the dive master made me feel really safe the whole time. Staying on the boat meant we were first in the water and had some of the best dive sites in the world all to ourselves (time of year also played into this, but would be even more important in high season when the sites are busy). We only had 2-3 people per dive master which made it so much more enjoyable, the crew made us laugh all day every day and the overall vibe was very social and fun. Made a lot of new friends and would 100% recommend for solo travellers. Obviously don’t be expecting a luxury boat but it was a perfect trip and really well priced compared to some of the others :) I would also recommend for snorkellers, I did a mix of diving and snorkelling and both were incredible" Anna Simmons
"Had an awesome live aboard with Dive Master Paul and his crew of 6. Managed to see everything we came for, Manta Rays, Black / White Tip Reef Sharks, turtles, and an abundance of sea life. They took very good care of us and I highly recommend them. Prices were also much better than a lot of the other companies we checked out. By the time you read this they would’ve received delivery of their new boat making it 5 vessels. If I ever do come back, it’s gonna be them without hesitation."

"We did a 2 night 3 day trip. We chose the package that included a stop at Komodo National Park, in addition to SCUBA and snorkeling. My partner was super pleased with the dive master (Paul/Pablito 😄). He was lucky to see lots of turtles and about 13 Manta Rays. Also tons of fish, beautiful reefs. Diving is phenomenal! I only snorkel and my experience was amazing. I’m a 64 year old beginner and Aristo was so patient and helpful. We saw 6 Mantas! An absolutely amazing experience for me.
The boat accommodations (bedrooms) are a bit tight but offer a private bathroom and AC. The entire crew were amazing and I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything. We are from USA, in our 60s and the young crew were kind and considerate. If you’re looking for luxury accommodations this isn’t for you. If you’re looking for excellent diving and snorkeling with some side tours, then I highly recommend. Thank you Pablito and Aristo (and the crew) for making us feel welcome!"

"We did a scuba diving day trip with Maika and had an incredible time. All of the dive masters were knowledgeable, helpful and lots of fun. The time and effort they put into the pre-dive brief was really valuable. I loved the whiteboard drawings of each dive site. Our dive master Ismed was amazing, took great care of us and had plenty of jokes for us back on the boat.
The whole crew were so friendly, even back at the dive centre when we were booking and getting sized up for our dive gear.
The chef put on an amazing freshly cooked lunch including spring rolls that got made during the boat trip (doesn't get much fresher than that). They also easily accommodated vegan food with no stress or hassle."

The people were so nice and helpful and our guide was professional and showed us beautiful dive sites. The corals, colors, amount of fish and turtles is amazing. We also saw reef shark. Unfortunately no mantas but we came not in season, so maybe next time. The room on the boat were tiny but comfortable and shower and toilet where always clean. The food was really delicious. The price was around 500€ including 8 dives for this trip which we thought was ok and one of the cheaper ones in Labuan bajo. we would highly recommend booking a tour with maika."
