How do you get to Komodo Island?
Komodo National Park is only accessibly by boat. Most commonly you can take Komodo Island Tours from Labuan Bajo. Typically it takes about 1 to 2 hours to reach the National Park, depending on what kind of boat you are in. There are also Komodo Trips from Bali or Komodo Trips from Lombok, but these take many more day. Usually a minus of 4 days to make the long journey.

How many days do you need in Komodo Island?
We recommend a minimum on 2 or 3 days. You can take one day trips and see many places but you may feel extremely rushed and not get as much time as you would like to see and experience some of the excited places to see. If you take a 2 day or 3 day liveaboard boat trip, this will allow you to see more places and also take your time at each place. As well, this allows you to possibly avoid the crowds. Sometimes Padar Island, Manta Point, Komodo Island, and Rinca can become crowded, but if you talk to your Komodo Boat Tour agency, they may be able to work out a better itinerary for you so you can have less crowds at each location. As well, you can save money because all the meals are usually provided on the Komodo liveaboard boat trips.
What snakes are on Komodo Island?
There are 12 terrestrial snake species that are found on Komodo Island. Some of these are the white-lipped pit viper, Javan spitting cobra, Timor python, and blue lipped sea krait. Although there are snakes on the island, seeing them is extremely rare....considering so many people visit the island and guest are asked to stay on a path that is heavily traveled on.
What destinations will you visit on a Komodo Boat Trip?
This depend on what kind of trip you take and how long is you trip. If you take a day trip, typically the locations are; Komodo Island, Padar Island, Taka Makassar, Manta Point, Kanawa, and Pink Beach. If you take a multi-day liveaboard trip, you may also visit locations such as Rinca Island, Manjarite, Kalong Island, Kelor Island, Gili Lawa, Sebayu Island, Siaba Island,Bidadar Island, just to name a few. If you are scuba diving Komodo, than there are other options as well.
What options do we have to visit Komodo Island?
There are a few options. First of all, you need to decide if you would like a private boat or a shared boat, and how long would you like your boat trip to be? If you would like a private boat, you can rent a private speed boat and enjoy a one day trip. Or you can join a shared one day trip. If you want a mult-day trip, you can take a private or shared liveaboard boat trip. As well, you can still have you own private cabin on a shared boat or you can have the option to have a shared room on a liveaboard boat as well. There are many options for you to choose from.
