Martin: It's my pleasure to be here with you. I enjoy talking about scuba diving in Komodo National Park. Interviewer: Could you tell us a bit about your experience as a dive guide in Komodo National Park? Martin: Absolutely. I've been a dive guide in Komodo National Park for over five years, and it has been an amazing experience since the beginning. I've been able to explore some of the most beautiful coral reefs, underwater landscapes, and incredible sea life in the world. I've seen some beautiful marine life, from turtles and manta rays to sharks and octopus. I've also had some amazing dives with manta rays and sea turtles. Diving with Manta never gets old. They seem to put on a different show every single time I get to see them. The visibility in Komodo can be quite remarkable, as well, and it’s a great spot for underwater photography. I have also had the chance to explore some of the more remote sites in the park, which can be quite an adventure. As well, if you like currents, this area is well known for its strong currents as well. Interviewer: That sounds incredible. Sound like you love what you do. So can you talk a bit more about what makes diving in Komodo National Park so special? Martin: Well, Komodo National Park is home to some of the most diverse and vibrant coral reefs in the world. It is also home to a variety of wildlife and marine life, including endangered species, like the Komodo Dragon. I think most people know this considering that is where the name comes from , but many people do not know how small the population actually is. This is what Komodo Tour packages are so popular because you get to see a mix of so many things. You can also see a variety of beautiful corals and colorful fish, which is always an amazing experience. There are also a variety of dive sites to explore, from shallow reefs to deep walls, so with no current and others that can have very strong current. As well, the park has great visibility most al of the time, warm temperatures, and abundant marine life, which makes it a great choice for divers of all levels. Martin: The most rewarding part of being a dive guide in Komodo National Park is being able to share the beauty of the underwater world with others. I is a passion of mine and seeing the joy and amazement on people’s faces when they see a manta ray for the first time is a truly special experience. I also love being able to show people a side of nature that they may not have known existed, and introducing them to a world of wonder and discovery. It also give me the opportunity to talk about ocean conservation, which i enjoy talking about. I think so many people just throw plastic or trash in the ocean and don’t even think twice about it. I hope to educate while we enjoy the dives as well, and I think my guests appreciate that. Interviewer: Well Martin, thank you so much for speaking with us. One last question. What is your favourite dive spot in Komodo? Martin: We that is a very tough question. There are so many places that offer so many different kinds of dives. Such as Batu Bolong, Crystal Rock, Castle Rock, Siaba Besar and many more. I think my favorite thing to do is always scuba diving with Manta Rays. It never seems to get old. They are so graceful and to see them each time seems like it is the first time, every time.
