Komodo Festival The Komodo Festival is held annually in March in Labuan Bajo, the gateway to Komodo National Park. The festival celebrates the park's biodiversity, natural beauty, and cultural heritage. The festival features traditional dance performances, music, food stalls, and a range of cultural activities. Visitors can also participate in hiking and diving trips to explore the park's natural wonders. Wae Rebo Festival The Wae Rebo Festival is held annually in April in the village of Wae Rebo, located in the mountains of Flores Island. The festival celebrates the traditional culture and way of life of the Manggarai people, who live in the village. Visitors can witness traditional ceremonies, cultural performances, and participate in local activities such as weaving and cooking. Nusa Tenggara Cultural Festival The Nusa Tenggara Cultural Festival is held annually in August in Kupang, the capital city of East Nusa Tenggara province. The festival showcases the culture and traditions of the people from the province's islands, including Flores, Timor, Sumba, and Alor. Flores Reggae Festival This was a local music festival started during corona and was based 100% online and was created by local band and musician recording their performances and posting them together for an online music festival. There are plans in the future to bring the music festival to different stages across the island of flores in the near future. |
