Cunca Wulang/Cunca Rami Falls - Tado Spiderweb Rice Field tour. 
If you only have 1 day to go inland Flores, this is an excellent tour for you. You can choose to visit either Cucan Wulang or Cucan Rami WaterFalls, as well as Tado Spiderweb Rice Field. On this tour you can trek to see a beautiful waterfall or water Gorge and also one of the worlds famous spiderweb rice fields in Flores. Your tour starts about at 7:30 am and we make a few photo stops along the way to before reaching Cucan Wuland or Cucan Rami. Each one has about a 45 mins hike to reach the waterfall. After spending about 2 hours at the falls we will hike back and continue to Tado Village. Here you can eat lunch at the restaurant and have options of hiking to the top or to the middle of the spiderweb rice field. There is also an option to see a real live Caci Dance or take a village tour and see how crafts are made in the local village.

- Leave Labuan Bajo at 7:30 from hotel or office. - 2 hours drive to Cucan Wulang or Cucan Rami. (photo stops included) - 45 min trek to waterfall - 1-2 hours of free time at water fall. - 45 hike back. - 30 mins to Tado. - At Tado, Lunch, and hiking options, village tour options, or Caci Dance Options - Head back to Labuan Bajo and sunset stops on the way back. Spider Web Rice Field View Trekking. You can hike up to the top of the Mountain with a local guide and see overall view of the Spider Web Rice Field. Trail is Moderate with elevation gain. Avg. Time is 2 - 3 hours for total trip. Hiking up and back down. Spider Web Rice Field walk to the Center. You can also do a short guided tour to walk around in the Rice Field to the center of the SpiderWeb Rice Field with a guide and learn about the local culture and customs. Avg. Time is 30 mins - 1 hour. Village Tour with 3 Activities. Guest can also take a guided tour of Tado village with an English Speaking guide to learn about the different aspects of the culture, customs, and different activities of The Tado people. This tour includes 3 different activities, such as Pottery, Lamp making, Basket Weaving, Sarongs, & more. As well, additional activities are offered if guests are interested. Average time of village tour is 1 - 3 hours. (Depending on you group size) See an Authentic Caci Dance. A major Element of Manggarai Culture is the Caci Dance. The dance has a deep cultural meaning and is a spectacle to observe. Every part of the dance has a different meaning. For example, the whip striking the shield represents the Father, Earth, and Sky and the Round Shield represents the female, the womb, and the Earth. As the Caci Dance takes place it represents the male and female united as the whip strikes the shell. It is also accompanied by local musicians. |
