As well, during these times there is usually a steady flow of that fresh ocean wind air coming from Australia and it is typically not as humid as the rainy season.  We also recommend visiting during the rainy season of course, just make sure to be well prepared.  Typically during the rainy season, it may rain every day for about 3-4 hours.  As well, you may have a 2-3 day period when it keeps raining.  The good thing about coming in the rainy season though is that everything is a beautiful color of green when the sun comes out.  As far scuba diving, it is also a great time to see Manta Rays in the ocean between December through February.

You can take a scooter or car around the island.  We can help with either one of those rental services. In general, the further east you go, the more difficult it can be to find good public transportation. There are local bus services that go from Labuan Bajo to Ruteng and there are also small local van rentals as well.  Just understand, for those who do get car sick, if may effect you a bit.  The island is full of mountains and curvy roads that can really cause some travellers to get sick.  If you would like our agency to help with setting any mode of travel for you, just contact us today!

Komodo dragons, the largest species of lizard in the world, are not usually considered dangerous to humans. While they are carnivorous and will eat any animal they can catch, including humans, attacks on people are extremly rare.
