Tatawa Besar boasts a sloping coral reef adorned with hard and soft corals, predominantly displaying orange-reddish hues—a distinctive feature that sets it apart in the Komodo National Park.
Diving Experience at Tatawa BesarDiving at Tatawa Besar is a delightful drift in shallow waters, offering a thrilling journey over a vibrant underwater landscape that spans hundreds of meters. With mild to moderate currents, it serves as an excellent alternative when other sites in Komodo National Park, like Tatawa Kecil or Batu Bolong, experience strong currents.
Best Time to Dive Tatawa BesarThe good news for diving enthusiasts is that Tatawa Besar welcomes divers all year long. However, the prime period to explore its colorful landscapes is from April to November, ensuring optimal conditions for a remarkable underwater adventure.
