Enjoy the Beauty of Pink Beach in Komodo National Park
Pink Beach is one of the most famous beaches in all of Indonesia. It is one of our guests favorite stops on our unique Komodo tour 3 days 2 nights trips. When it comes to beaches it is absolutely a place every guest that comes to Komodo National Park should see. Pantai Merah is what it is called in the Native Language and it’s stands true to it’s name. This is one of the most requested locations on many of our guests inquires when booking a Komodo Island Tours Package. For obvious reasons, there are not many places in the world where can get that perfect photo you on a pink beach with turquoise waters in the background. Places like this are a must to add to any personal photo album, as they are so rare to find. The pinkish sand is caused by a microorganism called foraminifera. It produces the “pinkish” color pigment on the coral reef under the water and as these these tiny coral reef pieces break off and get washed up to the shore, they then mix with the sand over time and create a pink color you can see on the beach. It is so rare that there are less then ten beach like this in the entire world, which is why we highly recommend it on any of our Komodo Island Tours Packages. It is so rare actually that Photographers from all different parts of the world come to Pink beach to get that perfect photo that has been in travel magazines, social media posts, and television shows, all around the world. Pink beach is located in Komodo National Park and unlike Komodo Island or Rinca, there are no shops, restaurants, or toilets in the area. A common and popular activity that is sometimes overlooks on Pink Beach Komodo Tour is Snorkelling. Many people are so focus on seeing the Pink sand, that they forget to even go snorkelling in the water. This are offers some great snorkelling as well and is surrounded by crystal clear blue water and it worth taking a swim for sure. There are nice coral reefs quite close the beach and offer a wide plethora of aquatic life that any snorkelling would be happy to enjoy! There is no current in this area, so it makes it perfect advanced or even beginner snorkelers.
Pink Beach is very good for snorkeling, but for those that are interesed, we also offer Scuba diving in Pink Beach Komodo as well.
