Level Up Your Adventuring Skills: Enroll in Our Advanced Adventurer Course Today! Maika Komodo Tour & Diving offers the SSI Advanced Adventurer program for scuba divers who wish to experience various specialties before committing to a full program. Taking this course and scuba diving in Komodo are a perfect combination. This program provides an opportunity to try out five different adventure dives, allowing you to gain a taste of advanced training and identify which Specialty programs interest you the most. You will earn the SSI Advanced Adventurer certification upon completion of the program.
You will have the freedom to choose which adventure dives you want to experience from the following list:
The program includes online training, five open water training dives of your choice, dedicated instructor, equipment rental, dive computer rental, deep/shallow water skills pre-assessment with your instructor, and a digital certification card. You will also receive digital training materials, including video streaming, digital air, EAN32, and EAN36 dive tables via the SSI app, interactive review questions, personal notes & bookmarks, and online & offline access via DiveSSI App - Smart Phone and Tablet. The advanced course is to be after the Open Water Course Certification. During the course, you will learn how to plan deep dives, use a drop tank, learn new navigation skills like square patterns and natural navigation techniques, plan dives, and manage air consumption. You will make five adventure dives to a maximum of 100ft/30m under the direct supervision of an SSI professional. You will also learn deep and navigation skills and go over the scuba equipment you use. To sign up for the SSI Advanced Adventurer course, you must be at least 12 years old, answer "no" to all the RSTC medical forms or get clearance from a doctor, and if under 18 years old, have paperwork co-signed by a parent or guardian. You also need to be an O/W Diver from any agency and have at least 2-3 days available for training. At Maika Komodo Tour & Diving, you can begin your SSI Advanced Adventurer program today. This program provides total freedom to explore and credit towards full specialty programs. If you just want to advance your dive skills and experience, the SSI Advanced Adventurer program gives you a flavor of what is possible and helps you identify which Specialty programs interest you. The certification allows you to dive up to 30m, except for the Deep Diver program, which allows diving up to 40m |
