Komodo Boat tour recommendations Are you looking for a Komodo Tours company or Itinerary recommendation? I have been to Labuan Bajo many times and I have also been to Komodo National Park three different times. Each Time I used a different company. I am writing this as a recommendation for Maika Komodo Tour. They were by far the best company I used. For many reasons. They were organised, professional, and they made all the all the stops pleasant by explaining the different aspects of the particular island and they also made us feel like family.
If someone was to ask me my perfect Komodo Island Tour or to take a full National Park tour, I would recommend to spend 3 days and 2 nights on a live-aboard. This way you can get in as much as you want to see and you will not feel rushed at each stop. You can enjoy the stops and the sailing part just as much without the stress of having to be somewhere on a schedule. I would recommend going to Padar Island for sure and hiking to the top. This is a must do when visiting Komodo National Park. Padar is probably the mot beautiful Island I have ever seen in my life. While on top you can see 4 beautiful beach bays that are absolutely stunning as well a full 360 degree of the ocean. Depending on the season you go, you can be incredibly green in you go in rainy season or a nice golden brown if you go a bit later in the year. Usually during rainy season, it only rains for a few hours in the day and the rest of the time it is sunny. Rainy season ussually starts around November and goes until Feb or March. So for the perfect color and less rain, April is a great time to go. After you take some of the most amazing photos in your life you can hike down and spend some time drinking from a fresh coconut after a good hike. I would also recommend spending time at manta point. There is no place in the world where I know of that you can actually have a chance to swim with giant manta rays. During rainy season, there are typically more of them. You can even see up to 15 of them on a really good day, but even during dry season you can usually even see one or two. Seeing these amazing aquatic creature of close is truly a unique experience that not many people in the world get to experience. They swim with grace and it is almost like they are dancing around you and entertaining you at the same time. Manta point would absolutely be on my list if I was planning a tour of Komodo National Park. My third favourite place would have to be Pink Beach. I have seen a lot of beaches in my life, but Pink beach is probably the nicest and most beautiful beach I have ever seen in my life. The sand literally have pink coral fragments in it and it feels like you are actually in a tropical paradise. This is a beach not to be missed. If you happen to like taking photos and posting on social media to make you family and friends a little jealous, than this is you spot. Take the camera and snap away, because it is a beautiful paradise. Speaking of perfect beaches…I obviously have to mention Taka Makassar. This is a white beach that come up from the ocean and is a half moon shape. There is literally no grass or hills on this tropical paradise, just a beautiful white beach. This is another place to mention if you are looking for that perfect spot to send home photos to make your family and friends realise they should have come with you on this Komodo Boat Tour. If you have a drone, this if also a quite famous place to get those perfect aerial photos that look like you are publishing it a topical island magazine. There are some other great places to visit, like of course Komodo Island and Rinca Island, which I highly recommend. Seeing real life Komodo Dragons right in front of your face is a memory you won’t soon forget. The Komodo’s are a sight to see no matter how many times you have seen them. Make sure to listen to your guides and do not get too close because they can be dangerous. If you like to do some trekking, Rinca Island and Komodo Island both offer some good trails to hike up on the hills to get some better views and have more opportunities to see Komodo Dragons. Another thing I should mention is not to forget to enjoy the boat trips. Sailing Komodo is truly a unique experience just because the surrounding islands and landscapes are so different and pleasant on the eyes. So, go out one the boat deck, relax, and soak of the sun. As I said, I have experience a few different companies and that is why I can confidently recommend Maika Komodo Tour. They have the experience, the guides treated us as we were family, and our group felt very safe and comfortable when sailing around the islands. The cook on the boat was fantastic as well, After eating dinner each night, we felt like we were eating on a 5 star cruise ship. Whatever you choose, make you sure you bring your camera, hiking shoes, and an open mind to explore some of the most beautiful islands in the world! |
