How far is Komodo Island From Bali?
It is 468km to Komodo Island From Bali.
You can not take a Flight from Bali directly to Komodo Island because there is not an airport on Komodo Island. You need to take a flight from Bali to Labuan Bajo on the island of Flores, and then take a boat trip to Komodo Island.  For a flight it takes a little longer than an hour to fly from Bali to Labuan Bajo.  Once you get to Labuan Bajo, you can take a taxi or walk into town and book a Boat trips to Komodo.  For Komodo Island Tours, it is recommended to book online before you come. 

You can take a Ferry from Bali to Labuan Bajo, but you may have many stops along the way, including, Lombok and Bima. These ferry can be very uncomfortable for many travellers and take multiple days.  


How to Travel to Komodo?
Getting to Komodo Island can be done quite easily.  Most people fly to Labuan Bajo from Bali or Jakarta by Plane.  You can also take a slow ferry from Bali or Lombok.  We also offer Komodo tours from Lombok.  After you get to Labuan bajo, you can take a boat trip to Komodo Island.  Typically a boat local boat takes about 2 hours to get to Komodo and a speed boat takes about 1 hour to reach Komodo Island. 
 

How to Visit Komodo National Park?
Getting to Komodo National Park can only be done by a Boat trip to Komodo.  Komodo National Park consists of 29 different Islands and by taking a Komodo Boat trip, you can visit many of the islands including Komodo Island, Rinca Island, Padar Island, Taka Makassar, Siaba Besar, Pink Beach, and more.  There are many options depending on What Komodo Tour Package you choose.  

How to get to Komodo Island from Bali?
You can choose between 2 different ways to get from Bali to Komodo National Park.  You can choose to go to Komodo National Park by plane or Ferry.  You can fly from Nguah Rai (DPS) in Denpasar to Labuan Bajo (LBJ).   The second way is to take the ferry from Labuan Bajo to Komodo National Park. If you take the Ferry, it will take multiple days and have multiple stops along the way.
